General Description
Water purification (NaDCC) 167 mg tablets.
Technical Specifications :-
Water purification tablets containing 167 mg sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC), which releases 100 mg available chlorine.
The product must be suitable for treatment of water for human consumption (drinking water).
The effervescent base used in addition to the NaDCC must be of pharmaceutical or food grade quality.
The anhydrous sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) compound.
The product must also comply with the EN 12931:2000 standard.
Caution :-
Avoid inhaling vapours.
Do not expose the product to flame.
Do not incinerate.
The product can be mixed with anionic detergents such as soft soap.
But in case of doubt about the nature of the detergent avoid mixture.
Toxic chlorine gas can be released with other types of detergent.
Do not mix with acid solutions.
It causes release of toxic chlorine gas.
Instruction for use :-
(1) For Emergency use and clouded water : Dissolve 1 tablet in 20-25 litres of clean water. Heavily contaminated water should first be filtered or allowed to settle. (Water of unknown quality, surface water and open wells)
(2) For use with clear water and permanent Household drinking water use : Dissolve 1 tablet in 40-50 litres of clean and clear water. (Water from boreholes and clear municipal tap water)
This tablet size might result in a relatively high Residual Chlorine content in clear water, why on site water testing should determine the exact dosing relations.
Allow contact for 30 minutes minimum before drinking.
Store in dry and well ventilated places
